CD baby reviews & others:

A MUST HAVE!
author: Mike Baker
Imagine a drummer with the soul of David Garibaldi, the musicality of Terri Bozzio, and the artistic direction of Radiohead.....then throw in The Beastie Boys and Frank Zappa just for good measure. I got turned on to this c.d. by a friend and it hasn't left my player in 2 weeks!..... Oh, by the way....it's also a great album to make love to the ol' lady to!!!!

Germano-Austrian Madness Unleashed in a Cavalcade of Sessy Electronica

I've talked to many girls who are sexually aroused by this. However, the musicianship is also stellar. These are not loops -- this is music performed by actual humans. This is easily on par with any of the material available from Eighteenth Street Music

Now THATS MUSIC!

As fresh and out there as the cover insinuates...

This album succeeds in the fact that it's clearly not mainstream, yet it's the kind of album you plan to listen to one song and you'll end up listening through and being engaged right to the very end. It's quite a journey. Starting with upbeat "Twoman" littered with cuts and scratches, "Paulario Walk" changes the feel to something of a jazz fusion cartoon soundtrack, then to the serene "Oceandra" which sets "Man in town" to sound even more funky when it kicks in. In other words, each song is radically different but they all complement each other. Like a party mix of four or five different artists on one album, except it's all Stiletto's complete thought. Insane drumming abound! Highly recommended...

VERY fun record

Upon first listen, I missed any the standard formula and direction most records take. By the second listen, I got that that was kind of what it's about. This record goes everywhere and anywhere, and pretty well at that. Outstanding musicianship and creative writing provide for a fun listen again and again - "Ready For Life" is particular highlight for the crossover crowd--Steph
